im not the only person who noticed this but , after ive been drviving all day my ka runs slow as dirt, good example, as i was leaving my house i raced some fruit with a tc and put 2 cars on him, then lata that day lwe raced again and he left me , then he asked me if anything was wrong with my car cuz it was running so slow... ive been powned!!! also mycar doesnt overheat or any thing n i just broke 112k, wtf!

might wanna check your plugs, if you dont know how to read spark plugs, ask www.google.com they have many different pictures and summaries about what different plug conditions can warrent. You can check the plugs when it is running " good " and when its not doing so well. This will tell you if its a fuel problem with it leaning out or richning up. Is the car in good working order, anything ghetto rigged in the engine bay? anything new or replaced recently. is the car at normal operating temps when its running good and bad? bleh bleh more information.

i got ngk irridiums like 3 months ago, and everything is in perfect condition doesent over heat, doesnt smoke , doesnt do any thing wrong, just runs like shyt after ive driven it all day,, help!!!! cuz i wanna go on boost but i dunno if this is goin 2 lead me into probelms on da future.

not to be an jerk or anything, but if you cant diagnose this problem, turbing your car probably isnt for you. I am speaking from experiance, I read for 2.5 years before i decided to turbo my car. I figured out every damn loop hole there was to be figured that i could have avoided, then reaility hit me in the face and there were alot of issues that i had to resolve. My car will never be done, always maintaining it, changing tunes, 95% of the time i dont listen to the radio anymore unless i have passengers in the car, i am constantly listening for detonation even though im 1.5 degrees backed off from where i would even be close to knock. Fuel effency? what in the ****, if i want to i can go though a tank of gas in about 125 miles from layin in the throttle. I got 11 passes in at moroso, i killed 1\4 tank in doing just that. back on topic

look at a few webpages about how to read spark plugs, ngk has a good page. Look at the different conditions and then you can atleast get a feeling for whether you have a fuel problem making the car slow.

anyone else have ideas? coolant temp sensor?

btw got any check engine lights?

Just because you have irridium plugs doesnt mean there is nothing wrong with them! I use NGK Coopers from the dealer, they do not foul out nearly as easy. Listen to Rick read your plugs it will tell you a lot!

or you can turbo your car and get 240 whp and you wont feel that measily 10 whp difference as much............ that should fix alot of things.

cmon im watchin the thread for a reply so i can send you around in circles trouble shooting things. :p

put an SR in it and forget about KA-T it sucks anyways. i would never go KA-T it seems pointless in the world of driting. get nawzzz

P.S. that pains me to talk about ka-t's that way :(

hey hey, no hating, ive beaten ka-t's in my NON TORQUE HAVING Sr, we all know who im talking about eh? lol

^^ yea this coming from someone who has never ridden in one lol. i prolly could fix your problem but your gay and i dont really care enough to help. and you didnt ask. why dont you just ask your friend you work with or someone you work with about it? im sure someone there would/should know.

leave me alone. my excuse........ its automatic. not to mention my car weighed probably weighed 3300 lbs. (actual moroso weight scale said 2950 w\ a set of tires in the back and 1\8th take of gas)

lets figure out wtf is wrong with this kids car/

did he answer my question about the check engine light?

never said it was youlol, im trying to protect your ka-t image , running waayy faster now too

Listen to what Rick(240SicknessX) is saying. Another thing do you have any aftermarket electronics ie.....(sound system, lighting, alarm). Sometimes these things take a toll on a car when not installed properly.
My 2nd S13 had a ghetto rigged radio when I first got it and if I had the music too loud the car ran way too weak than if I turned the radio off it would rev smoother, check for bad grounds also, sometimes they make contact with something and drain you charge and sometimes they don't touch anything and you run fine.
Another thing could be your lighting did you happen to buy those ebay wannabe halogen conversions that werent meant for Nissans weak electrical system. The higher power of those (H.I.D.) look blue bulbs will drain your cars charge while their on.

to help diagnose this, get a base voltage with no accessories on and go for a drive, then put every accessory on possible, hids, stero, the works, and watch the voltage drop \ increase. If your results are less with the accessories on, then nelvis' theory is plausible.

Dose the check engine light come on when the key is the "ON" position. Ive seen CEL LEDs not working when the ecu was tossin a code. is the car autotragic or 5spd?

its 5 speed and i do believe the check light does come on when the key is just put in the "on" position. jeeze im answering more questions for him then he is for himself.

thanx rob lol ! all i got is 2 12's and there wired properley, no lighting or any thing else that could be draining the voltage, this drving me nuts cuz my car doesent overheat or anything it just , pulls amazingly hard while cooled then after about 45 min. of constant drving i coulld seriously feel a huge difference. the car feels like its struglin to go

umm, well after my car idles and the coolant temp gets to 190F, the coolant temprature sensor tells the ecu to richen the airfuel mixture to cool the combustion temps. What kinda of fluid is being run in the radiator? strait coolant? maybe not premixed? maybe a clogged radiator not flowing 100%? These things could just keep your car hot enough to have the coolant temp sensor add more fuel, run rich and feel slows. Returning to my previous statement, check your spark plugs when the car is running well and when its being slow.

the coolant temprature sensor is one speculation, not the end all answer. Ever put a timing light on the car? Drive the car nice on the highway 70mph for atleast 5 miles then get off, uturn back on to the highway and while on the on ramp see if the car feels slow or pulls like you know it should. The at least 5 miles of 70mph in 5th will drop the coolant temp, then you know that the coolant temp is cooler then city driving, make a pull and see what happens. READ the plugs.
