ka24de compression test question

I did a compression test on a car I was looking at the other day and just wanted to run a few things by you guys.

The results

#1 115
#2 118
#3 114
#4 112

This was with the motor cold. The weird thing is the motor didn't smoke on start up or even while driving, no ticks or noises. I don't think a warm motor would make the compression read in the acceptable range. It was MAC tester not a cheap harbor freight hit or miss tester. I didn't have any compatible oil to put in to see if it was the rings, but if it was the rings it should be smoking which its not. Any input would be appreciated

Its not uncommon to get different numbers , usually if they are all within 10 psi you shoulf be ok

Its not uncommon to get different numbers , usually if they are all within 10 psi you shoulf be ok , only real problem i see is your missing 4 more readings ,,,, lol ,,,,,,

What other 4 readings am I missing?

The fact that the compression is much lower than the acceptable minimum yet didn't smoke was what had me scratching my head.

the motor needs to be at operating temp when you do a compression test or your going to get inconclusive results. also make sure you pull the fuel pump fuse and when your cranking, the throttle needs to be held at WOT.
