Anyone know how this works? Simple bell housing swap? More work then that? TIA
 
yea, just swap the bellhousing, there was someone on sfl240sx selling a SR tranny for like 100 or 150$ i dont remember but probably better than a high mileage KA tranny eek
 
I have an SR tranny you can take for free. It has a bad 5th gear syncro which causes some grinding (but still works fine) and the main-shaft bearing is bad (which creates a humming noise but still sworks).
 
haha zak I had sold my SR tranny to Dan.. sorry but if you had been looking 2 weeks ago I would have had it.

Well that won't work since the transmission is in BFE right next to Moroso. If you still want to arrange a pickup, lmk.
 
sorry to bring this up from so long ago.. but i have a ka tranny and a sr bellhousing and i could not get the bolt holes line up. is this cause it might be a single cam tranny?
 
No the trannys for both single cam and dual cam are the same. The bell housing will not bolt up for the sr20 on the KA. It won't be long till Zak sees this thread and deletes it. :)
