Kevin Costner in Water World!

There is an old article I read in Esquire a long time ago, but I bet this guy's "Slingshot" could possibly help.

If you listen to inventor Dean Kamen, the biggest health problem facing the world today is not AIDS, obesity or malnutrition. It's a shortage of water

Over that time it has turned dirty river water, ocean water and even raw sewage into pure drinking water. Kamen says it can turn anything that looks wet, or has water in it, into the "stuff of life."

The magic behind the Slingshot is a "vapor compression distiller" that stands between what looks like two empty fish tanks connected by a couple of hoses. One tank contains the contaminated liquid, the other is for the newly clean water.

The Slingshot boils, distills and vaporizes the polluted source, in turn delivering nothing but clean water to the other side. And it does it all on less electricity than it takes to run a hair dryer.

He says one Slingshot machine can supply about 250 gallons of water a day, which is enough for 100 people

Pretty sure Mr. Costner's machine is more effective, but no doubt that this guy can modify his machine to separate oil from water quicker/in a larger scale... Thing is-- Costner's is readily available and being tested atm.

Yeah I missed that part; his machine is for more of a local, famine, poor country helper.
 
i believe this all happened on purpose, cuz im sure he didnt make those machines in so little time, they waited for the oil to spread so they can create more jobs and so on and so on you get the idea
 
it says he's been investing in the machine and the company who made it for 15 years. i mean, i can see why they waited but on the flip side, why would they risk all the negative publicity
 
One hurricane and its all over for the south east united states. It will be raining oil in Florida mark my words we are all doomed.

did you not watch the video of how it worked. it said they come in 5 different sizes ranging from 500 gallons per minute to 5 gallons per minute
 
i heard about this a few days ago, and im glad to hear bp is actually taking an initiative.. and it sounds a hell of a lot better than blowing the old rig up under water...........
