Leaning out with windshield wipers wtf

Ok i pushed my s14s windshield washer lever by accident today while idling and my wideband went from 14 AFRs to 16s and 17s and my car sputtered and misfired...i thought maybe it had to do with me not having a washer pump, but it was because of the wipers because now whenever i put my wipers to the first setting (the one that you can make slower or faster by twisting the knob) everytime the wipers sweep my car leans out even while driving...going into the 17s and sputtering. It didnt do this last week when it was storming almost everyday...what could have caused this!?

well geez. theres only one thing that both the wipers and ecu shares and thats power. you've probably have a weak line powering your ecu. check the wires. find the 12v power wire to your ecu and check voltage. then with the voltmeter connected turn on your wipers and then check voltage again. it shouldnt have dropped by much, only a little. anyways gl.

hmmm thanks for the info im gonna check it out. Kinda weird tho that it only does it on the first wiper setting and the washers but not the other 2 faster wiper settings

Well the wipers are run from the ECU on the S14. Try to unplug the Wiper motor. And turn on the switch see what happens. It could likely be a short in the wiper motor or your column lever.

Honestly, when i saw "leaning out" and "windshield" i thought of this
