I need to ask some questions to somebody that knows about Lexus Sc300.. if anybody knows anything about them lmk.. Thanks in advance..

whats the problem, I usto work for toyota its the same as a supra and IS300 basically rather the IS300 has more electronics.

Do i need different motormounts to drop in a 1j? Do i need a custom drive shaft if i need different motormounts?

Would a 2j tranny fit in a 1j? if soo am gonna be using the Sc300 tranny on the 1j..

Everything should work unless you’re doing a 5spd conversion. If you staying with the auto tranny you are good to go, the only thing maybe be the oil pan depending on what type of 1JZ you have. Lucky you that you have an SC300 not a 400.

I'm the guy in the multimedia page, OSW-5 in the Black 97' Lexus SC300. the 1jz came stock with the r-154 5-spd in japan. if you have a 92-95 obd1 car the 92-95 japanese motor will bolt right up with the 2JZ-GE tranny(R-154), the only consern you should have is mating the 2JZ flywheel with a 1JZ motor, I'm pretty sure you have to use a 1JZ flywheel with that motor, because of the different crankshaft. However you can use the same clutch with the stock 2JZ-GE(R154) transmission. the mounts are exactly the same, however if you are doing a conversion put better mounts in it, because on the second drift event I ever did the motor mounts sheered(stock motor/ clutch kicking in 2nd). Takahiro Ueno recommends using Kazama Auto's toughened engine mounts(Google: Kazama Auto engine mounts). they are good for the money and are cheapier than TRD mounts. Putting in the 1JZ-GTE motor, use the www.Clubna-t.com to find more info on doing the conversion.
