Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've gathered that its a dictator in charge who's now attacking the rebel civilians who want him out of office

Yeah he is massacaring the civilians while he is also saying that the people love him there. Mind you this is the guy that is buddy buddy with Hugo Chavez and Mahoud Ammedinighad (?). What we are currently seeing is an Islamic revolution going on and all are gonna be on the same page very soon.

:ugh: I think we should get involved only because gadafi is basically a modern day stalin. The people there are fed up with not being able to do certain things and being punished just for doing things. Everyone has the right to stand up against their government if they think what the politics are doing is wrong. Gadafi had it coming and he's pretty much fucked. He told everyone to cease fire and seconds later they continue bombing the hell out of civilians.
