So i picked up a set of wheels for the 28th at the skid pad. What should i expect, how many runs do you usually get, ect. I have a few Autox events and numerous drag racing events that i've done..but never this..kinda pumped.

I don't think the 28th is a skidpad. I believe it's a comp on the actual course. Don't worry about messing up or anything, just have fun.

hmm i thought it was a skidpad event...o well, whenever the next one rolls in..i'll be there.

yea its an actual event. but on another note. arent you the one who made a thread..."this is why i dont drift" with a buch of 240s that have been mangled up from other things than drifting? lol just wondering

and 4 spare tires for the rear is plenty and make sure you have nice new grippy tires up front for less understeer!

FSS loves that shit bro...u know that, and i already posted on there that im give'n this shit a shot. cant knock it til u try right.

lol 4 Tires, christ! dont think i burn through that much rubber with mighty stock KA power!

^youd be supprised the skid pad is like a cheese grader on tires but the main track isnt that bad. Ive seen KAs go through 8+ tires in a event.

If you have alot of under steer you may want a extra set of front tires too cause that shit will eat it

...i remember a while back they had a drift session at moroso's karting track. is that coming anytime soon?

Nope.

Also, once you do a little bit of real good high speed drifting (PBIR road course, Homestead, etc.) you will see the exhiliration of throwing a car sideways.

of course it all depends on how much tread your 'used tires' have, the amount of dry rot, the quality of the tire from factory, and how much actual on throttle drifting you do.

new people tend to use less tires because they are spinning out or understeering and the rear wheels arent even spinning.

have fun, and say good bye to your other motorsports cuz you'll be hooked.

def true it all depends on your driving style and the type of tire I use super high treadware tires like 500+ so i dont use much tires but i also dont throw alot of smoke with them either. It also depends on the brand if your using shitty tires they will chunk out or delaminate quick. Since your new to it you probobly wont be very aggressive with the throttle so your not gonna eat that much tire. If you are aggressive with the throttle your first time out get ready for some wall love LMAO

They will never let us drift that kart track again we fucked up their grass too bad cause it was super fun but super slick.

that kart track section they used wasnt the best, it was like 1st or 1st and a half gear.

there are sections of it that would be fun.
