Lsd?

hello, i had spoken to Sebastien and Moe about this on friday at the skid pad, but i cant seem to remember where i can find the info.

being that i am budgeting i was advised to just make sure that i get coil-overs and fix any other problems my car is having, in order to start basic drifting. i was told that i can find out if my car has LSD just by looking up its VIN number on the Mazda web site. i dont see anything that say something regarding the LSD. if any of you know where i can find the info, please let me know.

Moe told me the same thing, but im having problem with my clutch, which is one of the few things i need to fix. my younger brother, who knows way more than i do about cars, told me that my clutch is slipping and i need to get it fixed.
 
jack the ass up spin one wheel if the other wheel spins in opp. direction then no lsd if they both spin same direction then lsd

that's not true. i have a torsion lsd and it doesn't do that. It's only certain types of lsds that do that. do a burnout.
 
I don't even know if burnouts tell the truth anymore. The reason I say this is because my old s13 hatch didnt have vlsd but when I burnt out both wheels spun, however, when trying to drift, I had one wheel wonders going on constantly. Note: I had an sr in it so it should have locked my back wheels up asap (not to mention I gave it mean ass clutch kicks)
 
if in a burn out your both your tires spin, and the rear end starts wandering and not staying put u probably have an lsd.
 
They do have LSDs that both tires spin on a burn outbut when u turn there made to let one of the axles slip because one wheel has to travel furtherthen the other but if your drifting both tires should be spinning if u have an LSD. If u know u have one and both are not spinning maybe you need to rebuild it
