Maf Position ?

Yes it works. Funny we were just discussing this on another thread. It's called a blow through MAF. Most people do it so they can have an atmospherically vented blow off valve without any idle problems (since in a draw through MAF, you'd be venting "metered" air). I've heard people say you can get better throttle response with a blow through MAF. I couldn't confirm/deny this however, as I said in the other thread, our MAF's were not designed to be run in blow through configuration and will not last as long that way.
Im not convinced that it will have the flexibility to meter the increased airflow as you add more boost while being placed in the intercooler pipe. Before the turbo the mafs is metering CFM at atmospheric pressure, While the mafs is in the intercooler pipe it will be measuring CFM at different pressures. Im speaking on a tuned ecu.

i have run my blow through q45 maf set up for 2.5 years now at over 550whp at times and i have no problems.. i have done this on my old sr20 daily driver at 298whp i do it cause you can go past "stated" flow rates z32/q45 because the maf does not take into account the air is compressed... so it will still flow "read" the same amount of air just now it is compressed "more" need to be tuned so your a/f is safe also another plus is no idle stumble if you do turbo1st then bov 2nd then maf 3rd
i do mine close to my throttle body for throttle response...i had one problem well two first the maf must have no cracks and not rattle but mine did "blow out" it's guts once but if you do this you will be fine ....wallmart 5 minute epoxy around the whole that the sensor comes thru and keep upside down wait 5 minutes alittle is all you need to make it air tight mine has held over 26lbs with hundreds of BEE*R pops for 2 years but look where mine is and picture what happends if my "cold" pipe gets hit F@#$ed ask rob we drove all over lookin :bigthumbu g for a quick replacement !!! so there are benefits and drawbacks

^ Scratch that. I'm an idiot and forgot to hook up my BOV so I've been having a massive vacuum leak.
Anyways, I haven't really noticed any power differences with moving the MAF, I've seen people get 600hp with it, but I've seen people get 600hp other ways too. I don't really know. Right now I seem to be getting very good response from the motor.
