The game will utilize a new server architecture[7] to support online battles with up to 256 players, with users divided into 8-player squads, with 4 squads forming a platoon, and 4 platoons forming a company.[8][9] Each squad will be led by a player who has advanced through the game's ranking system.[8] Character statistics and development will also increase with frequent gameplay.[10] The players most advanced in rank will be able to either direct the battle or participate directly in combat.[4]

Basic battles will take place within ongoing, faction-based campaigns to encourage the player to actively play.[8][11] The game's E3 unveiling trailer featured large landscapes, tactics such as air strikes and parachuting, and a variety of vehicles, from tanks and APCs to airplanes.[8][11]

Players will be able to customize the face, voice, and armor of their characters, as well as what weapons and kit they carry into battle.[12] The game will be a first-person shooter.[13]

Yep the beta was good, and the patch did fuck shit up, cant wait for it, even though this is going to be like 1942, Exploit Rape!

isn't happening.. It's a first party developer, same creators of the first 3 SOCOMs.. Zipper Interactive. It's like Bungie [Halo] for Microsoft or something..

I was a SOCOM addict.. aka "socrack", be careful with MAG :ugh::D

wow me too man, i would play blood lake and blizzard FOREVER

honestly this game im getting, but i think its going to be a clusterfuck of ppl killspamming, i think the only way to get a good K/D ratio would be to camp the fuckout. Cause noone is living forever w 100 ppl on their ass

yo gottta stay with your squad, and have mics if you have a sqaud looking out for you they can heal you and you wont die, if you run off like some noob then ur gonna die and be to far away to get healed, so its really squad based and yes camping is encouraged as you have to defend certain spots, and you can't "really" get to the other teams spawn point theres like two sides of each map attackers and defenders, attackers can't get to defenders spawn and vice versa

and its 256/2 so its 128 vs 128. but still fuck1n rediculous when your parachuting in over a massive battlefield with the ground shaking from ordinance and bullets whizzing by, but you can't beat SVER, ever...so don't even try, unless you wanna be my LMG's bullet sponge.
