major ignition problem, any help please

ok well let me try to explain this as best possable....


i was driving down I75 from miramar and when i got to the palmetto my car shut off.... while i was moving.... i was slowing down for the off ramp and had it in neutral so i put it in gear and resarted it but under any kind of throttle it woul give a really crazy chain of back fires/ misfires (really loud to like gun shots)

well i pulled over and looked around i figured something must have come loose.... so i moved a few wires and got back in and restated my car...

well it was fine for about 2 or so miles when i shut off again pulling into pep boys on 57th ave.... again same thing jiggled some wires and waited a minute and bam....

well i did what i had to do at pepboys and left... i got 20 blocks this time...i got on the palmetto on 57th ave and my carshut off by 37th ave.

well this time it took alot long to get it to start but after about 15 minutes and alot of back fires it started....

well i tryed to drive down 37th ave when long and behold it died again on 135st....

as it stands now im going back out to get the car towed back i had my friend pick me up so i could get some tools and call aaa....


now all the car does is that it cranks but does not turn over... when it does it will start for about 1 sec before it quickly dies....

if you crank it for about 10 to 15 secs it will back fire loud as hell. (again like a gunshot)


i have checked all fuses, replaced the ignition control box, new plugs, wires, and tried resetting the ecu. any info would begreat guys im really stuck here and need help
 
Is it a stock motor, do u have an safc any other upgrades? Check the plugs how do they look? are they fuel fouled? when the car shut off did it die instantly or did it sputter and then die? Whens the last time you changed plugs, wires, distributor rotor,cap. Check for dry rotted and cracked connectors going to the distributor. you might even have to check for spark at all cylinders and also check for injector pulse.
 
plugs are brand new, wires are brand new, no afc or anything just a intake... how do i check for spark on each wire....
 
any one have directions to u-pull.... or any junk yark where there are 240's at.
 
thanks for the info... im about to start checking every wire under the hood and then try to pull the codes off the ecu...
 
if you back fired it means that the gas is not burning also chek your injectors one could be stuck open but your car would still run and make shour you have fuel spark and compression if you have all of those then start and inspect you mass air look for broken wires and bad connectors and if all else fails disconnect and reconnect every sensor
 
check fuel pressure. on the way back from ocala my car was doing the same thing and left me for dead in Ft. Pierce. $320 tow later it was the fuel pump that took a shit.
