MardiDrift! - March 6th at CFRC

Yeah I might actually buy new windshield wipers... if I remember.

I actually remembered haha. First new set of wiper blades in years and years. That's why it didn't rain!

Rob Fleming 2nd, Stevie Admire 3rd, and Miles 4th. Fun was had, cars got beat up.

Dear Jeremy,
You are on another fucking planet with your driving. I am now not looking forward to you coming to all these events with me this year.

get fucked

sincerely,
Pat

haha <3 we're gonna push each other. Make pro-am not look like pro-am. It's gonna be awesome.

Jeremy was fawking killing it. rob, stevie, and miles, along with everyone else in tandem class were on point as usual and putting on a great show. I guess im kinda happy? to see more drivers in beginner class though most were driving around understeering around the track but its seat time and they will hopefully improve.

And then theres the car crash toll again. :ugh: sucks seeing a few cars an event get some pretty serious damage, but it seems more than easily avoided. My .02, the track layout was very beginner friendly this event with the tire wall kinda guiding you through the entry, just seems like a few people just got a little wild on some of their runs.

Hopefully my car will be done for the next event so i can drive this track again, had a blast the time i came up even though i got very few runs.

Great event guys! Thanks for everyone coming out,

Congrats to Jeremy for 1st place, Rob Fleming for 2nd, and Stevie Admire for 3rd.

Expect the next event to be posted on Facebook in the next couple of days, as well as some more rule and structure changes.

There were two beginners that went into the wall, one was a Miata that hit the front side panel, nothing else was damaged, the other was a 240 that did a weight transfer entry and lost control and backed into a stack of tires, so I don't know what you guys about not being "beginner friendly", it's about being smart; most of the guys that have crashed have a crappy set-up and/or get too ballsy do something stupid.

Exactly. the setup today was great for beginners.
I got there right when the red miata understeered n tapped the wall (setup) and watched the white coupe back up the wall (ballsy) and then the black hatch hit the center (setup).

At least those were the beginner drivers.

i had aot of fun( thanks to sean and bieber), i did get warned by stevo to calm down my entry's, after riding with sean i guess i was one of the drivers being to ballsy. overall it was another awesome event the biggest down side was seeing miles flick hitting the wall, i would like to see him and jeremy go tandem a few more times.

Fun event it sucks just sitting there watching though. Big congrats to jlo not only ftw but best entries by far I've ever seen there. Rob nice seeing you again and congrats on 2nd. Steve o and every1 else I saw today nice seeing u again. I love what Cfrc has become sfl needs to quit slacking

The problem is, there are people telling the beginners to not get ballsy, then there are the drivers who are trying to improve and everyone is telling them to commit and go for it but if you mess up (because you are trying it for the first time) you can find yourself in the wall. It just depends on who you are listening to.

I felt like there were a lot more close calls today. Maybe it was just the competitive environment, but I got really worried a few times while i was watching lol.

Wheelman, I thought you improved a lot from the last event. Good job.
