Japan has far worse penalties for drugs then we do. I'd be worried about getting busted there first. Besides you'd smoke it all before you got back to the states who you kidding!
+1 As long as the person carrying the weed was inbound and not outbound they should be good tho. Regardless of how strict the laws in japan might be, Its not illegal if you dont get caught. People smoke in the daylight like its all good is the US.
Now that being said, if they were outbound then they're f*cked because i wouldn't doubt the customs agents checking their stuff when they arrive from their flight will miss all that weed. Seriously... how do you explain something like that? Im pretty sure that who ever has it has no clue about japanese customs planting it in their stuff... All they can say is :ugh:.

in okinawa it was a pain in the ass to find weed. i always smoked with my buddy who made trips to oki every once in a while. and on top of that, it was expensive but not 5 oz for 10k tho.
