is anyone here goin to school or is a already a mechanical engineer? i wana knooooo how it is.

difficult....lots of math, but doable, and worth it in the end...

I'm going to school for mech engineer...

Im at FIU for Mechanical Eng. this shit is rough! Tons of Math. Did I mention Math. But hey you have to set a goal and stick with it. I will be reaping soon enough.

"Friend: hey I just got the new 2015 M3! This shit is awesome!"
"me: yea I was one of the designers.....enjoy it."

^thats my life in the clouds lol but yea automotive is where I wanna be at:cool:

^^ i thought FIU engineer was only one the one on flagler and 107th right or not?????

mech engineering has nothing to to with automobile engineering/design.

um nor fiu has a program towards automobiles.

Hope you guys know what your getting into.

I know FIU has nothing towards Automotive Engineering and yes Automotive Engineering is under Mechanical Engineering.

it's true that FIU doesn't offer an automotive engineering degree one can always opt to transfer out after the ucc which is what I'm doing. Try to find a school up north or ASU have good automotive engineering programs. Either waygoodluck to all of us!!!

yea i went to the fiu engineering campus. i liked what i saw. yea i kno its a lot math but fuck it. what schools have the automotive engineering?

I haven't really searched on nearby schools but some very prestigious ones that offer Automotive Engineering: MIT, CIT, ASU, NE Tech

if you have no background on taking any automotive classes before .. i suggest you get you're tech first and then you go from there.

don't narrow yourself just to automotive engineer....finish school first and decide along the way/end of school.

Mech engineering is very broad...me personally, rite now i'm looking at hydraulic/ pheumatics. Still have a long way to go tho...

i have a BSME....well worth it....there is so much more than just automotive that you can do with it. being and automotive tech on a whole, will do nothing to add to your degree. trust me.....but having the degree will open far more doors to just about anything you want.......dont limit yourself..

i finish my degree in december!! its a beautiful career just be willing to dedicate the next 4.5-5 yeras to studying otherwise you'll waste your time. Some people that are graduating with me are retarded, cheated and copied the whole carrer. Now, during the senior design projects, you can see who is who! I'm working with a Fuel Cells Co. and our project is actually a F.C./battery car lol you think i enjoy work?!

AeroK Ryan (miata guy with the girlish haircut and hair accessories) is also an ME. i think he's got another year.

ME and EE shortage. When i was looking for jobs i saw atleast 5times more EE jobs than ME.
