Mild stretch on S14

I have a 95 240SX and my wheels are 18x8.5 in the front and 18x10 in the rear. Currently I have 245-40-18 and 275-35-18. I was thinking of using a 225-35 and 255-35. Would that be a safe mild stretch or can I go a little smaller. I do some heavy drifting and drive aggressively pretty much 24/7. I would like a mild safe stretch so it looks nice and i can lower the car a bit more. If someone could give me a little help on my decision it would be great. Thanks.

225 and 255 will just make the tire flush if you want a little stretch then do 215 in the front and 245 in the rear

My car is 9's and 10's and I run 225's.

You're not going to get much stretch on the 8.5's, the wheel isn't wide enough. You could do a 215 if you don't care about contact patch, but I wouldn't.

Rear whatever you feel is stretched enough 225, 235, 245, 255 <not much stretch depending on brand of tire.

Heavy drifting, LOL.

I drift in this empty warehouse behind my house and the place is like dorifto heaven. I did one 2 weeks ago on film doing like 65mph. The floor is so perfect and i did it. with 3 people in the car. I just dont want the tire to pop off doing 60mph.

well first off ur stupid for sliding with 3 people in the car

I got 17x9 fronts and 17x10.5 rears.
I refuse to go smaller or bigger than a 225 in the front, and on my 9" front its an alright stretch. Not crazy, but I think its perfect.
In the rear I run anything from a 235 to a 275. I think the 235 looks a lil silly on the 10.5, but a 245/40 sits awesome.
This is all my opinion though, of course. Some people like more of a stretch, some people like less. I could give a shit what it looks like, aslong as it feels good when I drive.

thanks slambarsoldier i think imma do a 215 front and 245 rear on my setup.
