well its doing it again.... changed and gapped the spark plugs so thats off the list. checked the plug wires and thats all good. im thinkin its the fuel injeceeeesss. and its only misfirring on one cylinder. any input is good. and yeah no b.s. answers like its prob just a ka or maybe it needs a turbo. thx

shoulda bought a honda...

j.k but yea

take a screw driver put the tip to the injector and put your ear to the handle part and listen to see if it ticks.

when you have that misfire , lift the spark wire and see if it changes , also check if its only when warm, if so check the compression
and do a leak down test while its warm
it wouldnt hurt to clean your injectors with seafoam, fill the tank and drop a whole can of that stuff into your tank, that shit really works
but my guess is that if this is something happening every once and a while it could be electrical, so change your cap and rotor, your wires and plugs might be fine but the cap and rotor are also connected to them

when my car was doing it (but when mine did it it was WAY worse), it ended up being the ignition cable that went to my battery

Could be the MAF, if you can get it to misfire for a solid two minutes, while its misfiring, unplug the maf and see if its smooth untill you plug it back in. If thats the case then you need a new MAF

yeah ima use rolys suggestion tommorow. and after i run the motor like WOT near redline through a few gears goin all out it will start to misfire then it will go away

cuz it wouldnt run like crap it would run a tad rich which is not bad plus werent u the one saying that u wanted to go boost?? ull need to upgrade injectors if ur going boost

yeah a tad rich will just cuase worse gas milege and more shit to do. and no that will be in like a year after fitment :)

trial and error i dont know of a way to see if their good unless its for continuity

k kool.

alright #1 cylinder is getting fuel but no spark. but when i take the plug wire out, i can see the spark when i put it against the cylinder wall. wtf is it? it goes a way once i start driving for some odd reason. maybe the distributor cap? idk somebody help me plz

if your getting spark through the wire and its miss firing and your absolutely sure its cylinder 1 your plugs are fouling out, your gap might be to big and its blowing out the spark, cheap plugs , to much carbon residue, even injector staying open to long and flooding the cylinder till its pushed out, does it backfire alot

i have had this problem 3 times in the last 6 months so im just gonna buy new injectors cause mine just keep dying

put them in a rail with fuel lines connected and the harness and fire them outside the motor if you see clouds they are good if it streams out replace it or no fire replace it
