Mishimoto Fan installation

hello everyone. i am having trouble trying to get these fans installed. i finaly got my car to start up, but i may have connected the fans wrong. im not sure cause the fans dont come with a install guide. i had assumed that the Blue cable was the + and the Black cable was the - . since i had figured this i proceeded to connect the blue cable to the yellow cable and the black with the black and that was on the right side of the car. on the left side i did the same thing but this time the cables were the same colors, blue to blue and black to black. i will take some shots today and post them later. if you may know what could be causing the mishap, please let me know.

lol the whole time i was looking at it and im like y the fuck are there 4 cables for the fans ( 2 and 2 im guessing stock it came with dual fans) and then i realized its a miata

i hope thats not what you call a properly soldered connection. and like bill said what were the wire originally for. btw wats your mishap u want solved. wanna know if wires are right, fans dont come on, explain. turn a/c on, fans should come on and pull air through the rad if you did it right

i was trying to connect it the same way the stock ones were. i did speak with mishimoto and they sent me a .pdf that showed a diagram of the wiring for the fans. now i am pretty good at following directions but i was a but lost with the one they sent me. i think its a diagram to have the fans running from the moment you turn the car on.

heres the diagram

and by turning on the a/c also.

it takes 2 secs to do.

the thing is that i had to remove the thermostat to see why the fluids in the radiator are not flowing. i will have to wait till tomorrow to see whats going on. the whole thing started cause my car was overheating and i went and replaced the cooling system. (radiator, fans, thermostat, radiator hoses, water pump) even after replacing all that, its still over heating. im stuck trying to find out whats going on.

chances are that you have a bad headgasket very common on them. But once it reaches 210 they should come on. It will take awhile without a tstat
