im trying to get motor mounts, i was gonna go hockey pucks, or use the flexane that guy wrote up on nico club with the cups but i can find the bolts needed, where do you guys get them or do you have any input to the mounts? am i stupid and should just save up and get kazama or cusco?

i went to ace they didnt have metric and said they had nothing in grade 8 of similar standard size... what exactly did you use 3/8 by what?

if u use hockey puck u use 2 on each side an u also have to put a thick ass washer so u can get more hight i only had to hockey puck on on each side an the motor sits to low the oil pan sits on the subframe an steering rack

they will crack, but it will be fine for like 100 years.

First, go to the local sports shop and buy 4 regulation hockey pucks. They cost about .99c each. Next, go to the auto parts or home store and buy 2 - 5/16 x 3″ bolts. (Get the highest grade available, I got grade 8 parts from the local Home Depot) Also buy 5/16 lock washers(2), 5/16 standard washers (10-20 as some will be used for padding) and several oversized standard washers (8).

I didnt use any washers, just the hockey pucks and some lock washers. And the motor sits high enough to clear the oil pan just fine.

EDIT - wouldnt suggest doing this with stock trans mounts, we have broke 3 already on hard launches.

thanks.and yea i use the lock washers too.but i like the hockey pucks better then stock.

stock trans mount will hold for a while if your not drag racing. We have it in a 400hp KA-t drag car, thats why we snap them.

But any poly or solid trans mount will work.

Link doesnt work.

I have seen people use solid blocks, or both rollers from trailers for motor mounts. I have a solid steel plate for a trans mount on my street car.
