motor weights

lol, i heard they were easy to do,
there is this guy that did it all in his back yard
and only did 170 MPH

yea for real. ls swap. dont even bother to boost the ka, it will never have the same power output and on demand like a v8.

from what iv been gathering a ls based aluminum engine is within 25-50 lbs or sr with full turbo and intercooler setup and its easier to fit and work on while in the car due to its small size. I would reccomend ls family swap or if weight isnt as big of a deal an iron block 5.3 ls are very cheap about 300-400 for a good low mile engine

yea weight is a big no no. so im looking for good torque, power, throttle response, little weight diff between ka, RELIABLE!!! and good cost effective swap.

and a shop

No motor swap is cost effective, or else the car would have came with it.

But hands down, ls1 is your best bet. You can get a full wrecked Fbody ls1 for 1500ish at auction, get all the parts and put it in call it a day.
