I don't understand what's so great about the HALO series... I never played them then about a month ago I played one and two. What makes them so great? It just seemed like another man vs alien FPS.

It is not about just the "Man" VS the "Alien". If you really follow the story line of the game then you would understand why the game gets exiting on each series. In the online gaming world Halo is the favorite multiplayer game to play. No questions ask!! :D

I guess it's just a rebirth of the popularity DOOM2 used to have. I used to play that back when I was 15 years old on 14.4 modems battling it out for hours. The last shooter I played before I stopped with computer games was Duke Nukem. Shit, I remember being in 7th grade playing Wolfenstein 3D. Now that was the original FPS! :bigthumbu

Rainbow6 Vegas is my latest addiction. If you have it, try it on terrorist hunt and set the level to realistic and enemy count at medium or high. You only get one life to kill everyone. Hard as fuck in some levels.

I'll be hard pressed to call a fucking FPS game of the year at this point in time.

Halo 3? It feels like FF7 all over again. At that point just about everything that could be done in a console type RPG had been done, and then they dressed up the typical core game mechanics with FMV and 3D graphics and everyone drooled over it.

It'll be an FPS with extremely high production values, great, but perhaps Game of the Fucking Year should be reserved for something a tad more original.

We have two consoles out with massive cpu/gpu power and one with a unique input system. Let's see what the game developers can do with the resources of this generation.

Let's see some New Shit.
