more info. But off the top of my head I would check the following:

boost leak

spark plugs

check for misfire

timing

intake setup

If by boost you mean when you enter boost, the first thing you should check is for a boost leak. I had the same problem and found a broken coupler on my coldpipe.

boost leak..
slightly bad coilpack...
check if turbo and mani is tight too..
voltage to ecu and
or coilpacks

boost leak

spark plugs

this^, seen this happen by simply putting the wrong spark plugs/wrong SP gap. check for a boost leak as well. if those both check out, do what dan said and check the TPS.

Have you checked the computer for codes?

my bet is on a boost leak. tug hard on all your piping make sure none are loose. usually one will get overlooked when installing a whole swap. Happened to me and took us a while to figure out, then next time was actually a short in the ecu- that was a tough one to find.

smallest cut/hole/loose clamp will make it do that.

if it actualy hits boost its no leak 120% positive you have bad plugs n i recomend ngk iridium plugs i dont have tho code infront of me but im sure u can find it... iv had that problum a few times...

a boost leak or vacume leak will make ur shit dump fule n hard to hit boost but no real missfire how u describe it

give it a try u wont be disapointed in what iv said

n just to be clear a boost leak is a vacume leak no mater when it happens

slits in couplers are soooo common. I just found one on mine today because it rubbed against jagged metal so yeah check for leaks broski.

It can also be the mass, they can often be bad being that all SRs are junk yard motors to begin with and the air intake increase from boost can make any errors they are making much worse.

Since it's a redtop if you have a friend with a late 80s or early 90s 240 you can borrow his MAF cause there actualy the same as the jap models. In fact the one I ran in my first car was the one that came OEM cause the one that came in the swap was bad and they weren't being to helpful with replacing it

when your maf goes bad your car will not rev over 2000rpm n it will billow black smoke

douch go with the 20 or 30 dollar spark plugs 1st ul be real happy... im not ase certified for no reason

Yea but unless you know your fueling is good he's better off sticking with the NGK copper tops rather than fouling out a set of $30 dollar plugs. At least until he knows he's good then he could switch over to a set of iridium plugs or what ever

^who is this guy? you should come to west palm beach meets and help me preach to new up and comers

And there can be faulty mafs that are just a little off that won't be as bad as a fully broke one like your taking about flatline. They would be more likly to cause problems under a load like boost. I had that happen on my current 240 before I took it apart to do all the upgrades

Which meets cause I used to show up at some but my cars been apart for so long (me being lazy and working on every one else's shit) that I haven't been bothering.
