need help with my tranny

k i waz driveing from orlando to miami an all of a sudden while im on i95 my car just stop going in 5th gear the engine is still running an the tranny juz not going at all. then i pull over turn it off an turn it back on an as soon as i let off on the clutch the tranny makes this loud noise but wen pushing down on the clutch there is no noise anywayz i just got my car down in miami an i drove it up da ramps in forth gear cause first and 2nd wouldnt work but i took down my tranny an i took out my pressure plate an clutch dish an they were nooooo goodd so i purchased a new clutch kit (clutch disk, pressure plate, and throwout bearing) i just want to kno if it can be more then just the clutch thats messed up from the symptoms i described i hope its just the kit that needs to b replassed and i need to kno where the heck do i put the gear oil an what gear oil should i use i heard gl5 is not good thankz for reading
 
gear oil gose in the shifter hole.
and it not going it to 5th like you can put it in fith and nothing happens or it just dosent go. try double clutching shift from forth into nutraul release clutch then press clutch shift to 5th release clutch, more then likey your gear selector isnt secrunizing.

hope the clutch kit works for you, what kind of clutch did you get ?

thanks dudes..yeh it goes ino the gear withe gear shifter..n it makes alotta noise..buut i juss got a new clutch.what gear oil do you guys think I should put.?

and how much quarts of oil?

i use RedLine Oil products in my trans, and diff for years. started using in my motor this year as well.

for yours you could use RedLines MT90 fluid.

i think the sr/ka trannys only need 1 qrt.

ok thankz.. i went to advance auto but all they had was valoline, lucas, an some other crap and it was all 80w-90 an 75w-90 an they said gl5 at the bottom and i keep thinking twice about buying it cuz i read that gl5 tearz up the brass in nissanz trannyz ???? what u think about that ? where can i get the red line from?? man im so friggin stumped lolzz i just want my baby to roar again..
 
make double sure that clipspring crap on cluth fork is good if u dont then u will have issues later ur on he rite trak tho...im doin my clutch this week at my boyz shop...act 6puck...oh yeah supersexy driftclutch
 
lolzzz daz waz up yo ye i was just looking at it at like around seven it looks ok man the throw out bearing looked like it was pressed in but i knocked it out with out messing anything up
 
im not sure your area where you can get the RedLine. Dont use the GL5 stuff, i also heard its bad on the synchros.

and as far as the capacity or amount you need... the stupid internet thing i found to convert pints to quarts was gimped... 2.5 qrts is more accurate^^

redline is the bomb after going threw 7 trannys i tried mt90 and this one lasted the longest and is still kickin
 
I never said running but my buddy has managed to pick up 6 or 7 SOHCs with a tranny usually for less than $100 within the last 6 months. Perhaps they are more available in Orlando.
