ok heres the situation 91 ka24de makes no power (going up a very small incline was very hard) sputers when revved out and back fires into intake mani i think and it sounds like its detonating. i set the timing like the fsm says and like i have seen online (unless im doing it wrong) and no difference.

If its backfiring through the intake then your timing is off, whether it be cam or spark...

True story, I'd say spark. Check your plug wires, may be backwards. Firing on intake.

thanks guys...yeah me and my bro figured it out...we did the timing like ten times including yesterday even reset the bottom and top end to tdc...what a mission...knock sensor was flucking us up...runs very strong tho just need some fuel management now.
