NEED lowered car alignment urgently. Alignment Factory no good.

update problem solved please read last post
Where do you all people with coilovers and aftermarket arms get your 240s aligned? Hopefully somewhere close to miami. Heres my problem:

After installing coilovers and adjustable arms (tension rods in front, rucas, traction rods, and toe arms in rear) I never aligned my car. It drove plenty fine - not perfect, but I could speed through on-ramps comfortably and felt confident enough in the highway even when raining and with a welded diff.

So some months ago I start getting a horrible clunking sound in my right rear wheel. Over the winter break I finally had time to check it out while I worked on the car. ONLY thing I did was remove the rear right toe rod, and grease it. I also had to remove the steering rack in order to change my motor mounts. no crashes, hitting potholes, etc

Well after driving the car again I noticed and insane pull to the left. It was undrivable....felt absolutely unstable even at lower speeds and you had to reaallly fight the wheels to keep it straight. I put it in the garage again and changed the inner tie rods since I was gonna get an aligment anyway.

I then set up an appointment at the Alignment Factory cause I had heard and read they were the best and dealt with track and lowered cars. I told the owner it was a lowered 240sx. Drove there at 25 mph all the way from doral. When they test drove it they couldnt believe I drove it in that condition....
Anyways once they put it on the rack they saw I had adjustable arms and told me it was gonna take longer and they were busy for the day, because I hadnt specified I had them (my bad...I thought you needed adjustable arms to properly align a lowered car). I conviced the owner to try and do his best since I had to drive to school and work.

They did do their best, and the car is better than when I drove it there. But it still feels like absolute shit compared to when I first dropped it on coils and put all the arms in my garage. They said according to the computer "it should be driving straight" but it doesnt. It pulls hard to the left, and feels very wobbly. Shifting will also cause a slight imbalance as if the rear wants to break loose. Not really worth the $120 I paid but maybe it was my fault for not telling them I had adjustable arms? whatever at least I can somehow drive it now...

Soo basically I need an alignment place that knows 240s and can get my car driving properly even if the "computer says otherwise" At the very least, I'd like to get it driving like it did before I removed the rear toe arm. Once again there were no accidents, crashes, hitting potholes, etc etc so I dont see why a professional wouldnt be able to at least get it driving like before. At this point I wouldnt mind driving to broward or whatever, as long as the place knows 240s and can gurantee they'll get it right. Dont feel like wasting more time or money....as long as is not some janky ass shop which wont even test drive it im open to sugestions!

my z has full suspention (all the same as a 240) and i take it to one of the newer tire kingdoms around hear is west palm cus they have the alignment machines that are built into the ground so thier are no clearance issues and they have np going and grabing 2 adjustable wrenches and working with all the parts on my car. on top of that its all digital so at the end i get a full print out of all the specs for the whole car

seems to me like the people you took it to had no clue what they are talking about or are aligning your car with a string and a rock for them to say its harder with a new fully adjustable suspention.......

I take it to SMS. My friend works there, haven't had a problem with my alignment since..

Before, I got my alignments done at Tire Kingdom 'cause I had the unlimited alignments for 5 years.. HORRIBLE, they never fixed my pulling issue and I had to drive super far to get to, "Tire Kingdom Performance," to use their low rack. When I get there, they say I can't align my car with out paying an additional $80 because I have modified my suspension...

my tire kingdom is pretty nice, they let me stay in the car the whole time so i can tell them were to put everything at lol

I've never had a bad experience with Ken

I'd heard good stuff about the place thats why I took it there...

Where's this place at and is that the full name? might give them a call

So far in options I have Miami Chassis or SMS....any other places? will try and get this fixed this weekend

goto miami chassis, most places when i asked do a lowered 240 with adjustable suspension they refer me to miami chassis but its a one time deal kinda thing so i didn't wanna pay and then my alignment go bad and have to go back again and pay more soo i opted out for firestone lifetime alignment.

I had firestone lifetime alignment on my last 240 /w adjustable arms but it took me forever to finally find 1 who would do it for me (over 10 stores) but they set me up straight and car drove great. I just got it transferred to my new 240 so now i should be set again.

i noticed you said you drove from doral, fl. i have a full suspension kit on my car and everything is adjustable,.. i took the car to TIREMAX is right on 72 ave and nw 53rd street, i told them what the car had and only charged me 75 bucks for all the work.. the car drives like new and have 0.0 camber an all my tires.. the car is lowered on Z33 5 spoke wheels and never had a problem... check them out, they are inexpensive and do great stuff.

which firestone did you finally find? the last couple i went to either couldn't get me on the rack or didn't want to mess with a modified susp.

i went to good roads, shit was like 90$$ but the man did EXACTLY what i wanted.

location? phone #? I'm googling all this shops but its hard to find them so info would be appreciated

thanks for all suggestions Im gonna get this thing done tomorrow as I absolutely hate driving my car right now, its not even fun. Will update when I get it done so others can know where to take it too

update

Alright here's an update cause I hate threads that are resolved and not updated:

I SOLVED THE ISSUE. It was my fault, and it was a pretty stupid mistake. Basically I run 2 good tires on front, and have 6 spare tires for the back which I always use with 2nd hand tires.
While I was doing the engine mounts etc etc I also switched one of the rims in the back since car was already up. I didnt notice it was mounted with a 205/65/15 rather than the 205/60/15 the other side had. So I was running 2 different size tires in back.
That 60/65 difference made the car handle like absolute shit and pull insanely to the left. Switched it today, and problem solved.

I also took it to the Tiremax in 72nd with NW 53st.(before I solved the problem). Shop's a bit ghetto, but they have a good rack for aligning lowered cars. They fixed the specs a little from what alignment factory had done.

Car still pulled to the left, but it felt a lot more stable at speed. Today I noticed the difference, switched to another of my spares, and now it drives like it should.

So in conclusion I bet alignment factory did a good job, they just didn't notice it pulled because of different size tires. Tiremax was good as well, they dialed in the settings a bit more, but they also missed it. Next time I need an alignment I'll go to tiremax since its a lot cheaper than alignment factory and I was satisfied with their job.

AND - check your damn tire size if you're having this same problem.:chair:

how much is alignment factory and tiremax?

how much is alignment factory and tiremax?

Alignment factory regular alignment is like $80. $120 if you have adjustable suspension arms.

Tiremax I think is $80-90 if you have adjustable arms. When I went they charged me $40 since they dialed in the settings, but car was still pulling. Alignment factory charged me the full $120 and car was still pulling.

Im not saying alignment factory is bad because everyone speaks highly of them, and $120 for a GOOD alignment for a lowered car with adjustable arms is not bad either.

What makes the deal for me is that tiremax is cheaper, AND its 10 minutes driving on the street from my house, while Alignment Factory is like 30 mins through the turnpike each way......
