first off the reason for these odd or so called "stupid questions" are for my dad...

1. why is it not good to gun a freshly rebuilt sr?

2. what should hood spacers help for?

3. and last but not least the funniest one, why are zipties good for holding on a bumper?

why dont you just anwser the questions for him?

1. need to wear it in?
2. exit for hot air
3. quick release bumper. break zip ties not bolts and bumpers.

Break in is within the first like 30 minutes after the motor. People that do 1,000 mile break ins are dumb. My motor had 36 miles on it when I did a 25 psi pull past the shop.

Yeah, hood spacers are supposed to help with heat. I do it to help with clearance on my motor.

Yeah, ziptied bumpers are so they will pop off and not just break at the bolts and stuff. Or like when your bumper is kinda hangin or broken a bit, someone can rip it off the car without a big stink.

Yea bearcat most people done understand, a breakin is only as good as its built. A well built motor would only need 30 to 45 mins to break it in... only needs time for the rings to seat.... most ppl are like well the bearings need to seat too... if your bearings show anywear withing the first 1000 miles. You had a fuckjob build....

Awesome, thanks for the info and support guys.

Can't wait to pwn the shit out of him because this is exactly what I said! hahaha

actually hood spacers let air in, not out at most speeds. creates a pocket of high pressure at the bottom of your windshield which acts like a vacuum and sucks air into your e-bay then under the car. It actually hurts you aerodynamically.

but it does cool down the e-bay especially at idle/stop and go traffic.

I just do it cause it looks cool.
