hey everyone

the new project car mag is out and my thoughts are on it are sideways:D,, its well written finally but theres a problem,,, they are showing a 92 240 coupe that is drift ready and they spent 4234.75 on it.....now im looking at this monstrosity on XXR wheels and wondering to myself how could that have happened for 4 stacks.... granted they did do a 5 speed swap however my 5 speed swap didnt cost 300 dollars (for everything) and i put it myself

in my own mind,,, and prolly many of yours you say you could build a nice one for that price but if given the opportunity to build a drift ready 240 hatch coupe or even hachi,,, what would your list consist of,,,and this is mainly fundamentals no stickers:laugh: ok fine stickers but what would your list have in it if you were given 4000 to build a clean daily drift mobile

they never put labor costs into the equation. Project car writers are also real dumbasses. While back they wrote that a 95 zenki was FWD lolol

you could build a good drift car for under 5 grand if you do all the work yourself and buy some shit used

not including the car
-stance GR+ Pros- 1200

-KA Pistons/Rods- 800
-MR Exhaust/header kit- 300

Things like a decent racing seat, decent 4 point harness, a brake upgrade, sway bars.. are some of the things people bypass when building a drift car on a budget.... i built my drift car on a budget and i have over 8000 bucks including the price of the car .....

definitely i think people should do like you did,,, when your car was n/a and focus predominantly on suspension,,,dial that in,,,dial in the driver and then after they master the mediocre then purchase a powerful powerplant
