but they still need to qualify man. enjuku has only qualified once in the top 16. and they are a PRO team.

yea but they have been doing it for a while. i think juan has been drifting half the time they have and he just gets better and better. i think juan can really do it if he wants and im sure he wants too.

what is it that people do not understand? care to go into detail? I think that you are missing the whole point. the topic of this thread is that one of our own has made it to Formula D and we are here to comment about that, yes we know that he has to qualify top 16 so do the other drivers, including the big name pros. in my opinion top 16 is a very exclusive club that ALL drivers work very hard to get into, and once a SKILLED driver gets in it becomes a battle to stay in the top 8, then top 4 until they reach the opportunity to win the event, also there is the point competition which is how the winner of Formula D is determined. As for KA? the KA is a great motor, but we will not be using it for competition at Formula D, so Juan will not be using the coupe all of us are used to seeing him drive at local events, he will be driving another coupe powered with a fully built SR20det with all the trimings, cage, suspension, wheels, etc, best part of it HE WILL OWN HIS OWN SPONSOR SUPPORTED FULLY BUILT FORMULA D RACE CAR!!!!!!! and as many tires as he can roast for BOTH cars!!!!!! these are the rewards for hard work, loyalty to the brand, dedication to practice, but above all love for the sport and SKILL!!!!

No. If that were the case, there would be 100+ guys across the U.S. getting this opportunity before him. Whatever you (guys) did to make this happen, more power to you and congrats (my hat's off to you & Juan, honestly), but don't try to play this off like he "earned" it because of the above statements. That's just insulting.

Good luck with everything.

juans the man! he's the one who got me drifting when we met ata ricer meet years ago..haha. if i had the oppertuninty to get sponsored id jump on it ,but for now ima hav to slave away on roofs to sponsor myself. Goodluk juan i kno u can win ;)

dont worry about them its called haterizm!

Not saying whos right and whos wrong I could care less we will find out very soon, I just hope all this negative feedback pisses off the drivers to just do that much better and more and more practice, I know I would....IMHO I think practice with the cars is KEY, getting them built properly and also the settings with the car, remember this car is TOTALLY different from what juan is use to, I'm sure he can adapt to the change. GOOOOOOOOO S13 COUPE's :)

I didn't give negative feedback. I just don't think it's fair to say that by doing so-and-so one will accomplish this. I'm happy for Juan and wish him the best. Being on the team he is, he's likely to get tons of practice, advice, and experience. Hopefully it will all come together to help him succeed more than he already has. I wish I had this opportunity!
