Ever wanted to know when new meets are popping up? Want to check out the latest car shows or participate in racing events? This website features an easy-to-use calendar to help enthusiasts find all the greatest auto events happening in South Florida.

I started it yesterday, send me info for your events and I'll list it for FREE on my site!

You have a good idea in mind for the SFL drivers but spend more time and money into web design so its more appealing to come back to the site.

Well, I wanted to keep the site as simple as possible, but I want to add more pictures to the site as time goes on.

Like the background can be a meet or something, etc. Really just started it a few days ago, and I appreciate the feedback!

I disabled it so I can make changes to it without people seeing it half done lol

much better! i'd aim for a header that included your name to get rid of that randomly placed image.

navigation is also duplicated. an idea for the navi under the calender could be:
-All Events
-Car Shows
-Meets
-Racing Events

Hey, I like that! I'll do that now!

For the events page, I'm working on making a picture for each item. So Car Shows would be an image of a car show with a bit of text, and so on.
 
good to hear, everyone 'reads' pictures these days, not so much text. and i'd also recommend a different color for the site. white is not common among sites i'd recommend one offing a color from a site you like to make it your own
 
At first I thought it was pointless since SFL has an event section too, but i actually like it. Only thing i would change is that you have events for road atlanta on there when the title to the web page is SFLautoevents.

The reason I made this site is because lots of clubs have their own event pages, but the problem is that the only people that know about it are the people on the website. What about people new to the car scene, or people that don't know about drifting?

Also, I have the Road Atlanta things there because PBOC Motorsports asked me to list their events, and I kinda figured it would be incomplete if I didn't include them, lol.
 
Why not just use wordpress/drupal/joomla for this site? Would probably be easier to manage. Either way, nice to see more people out there working on bringing the auto community together! :)
 
a 'key' would also be great to help understand when you click 'all events'.

i'm personally interested in the 26th event in boca raton. what's the info/specs about it?

What do mean by key?

Oh, and that's a concourse event. Like a car show, but people are judged on how well kept the cars are. You see everything from Studebakers to Ferraris and such.

lol, am I really that good at making it look like a regular site? Because this is actually running Wordpress!

To be honest, I actually really liked the old style. It was very simple and I think stylish. To me, the new layout looks like it was put together by a 7 year old, I dunno. After all, it's a calendar, not a photography website!
