so my good friend Henry from school hooked me up wiff his old set of nt555 and got bout 25% tread left on em. Should I burn em up when I get a car again or should I keep em. Sizes are 245/45/17. Kinda big but it looked good on his ford mistake aka mustang. Lol. And other useful info would be sweet

I remember seeing like 1/4 tread tires and saying I was gonna keep em just to drive on.

then you buy like 2-3 sets of new tires each event and you realize how sad your life is.
 
I used to run those. With only 25% tread life you might as well burn them. I used to have about 230hp and I slid with 265 no prob. especially since you only have 25% left you will little if no grip. Even though thats a very soft compund tire.
 
well that car on here i show is wrecked now. totalled so i have to wait for another one to come around. for now i stuck with an 02 prius
 
The Nitto 555's in any size are not sticky by any means of the term, especial that low on tread. Its up to you if you want "burn them up" or save them for a track day, but I would never rely their grip level for a track event.
