so im putting in my head unit in my s14 and have it all hooked up and the speakers arent working. i jumped the connection right to a speaker and it works so i know my wiring is okay. i only ask because the same thing happened on my friends s13 and we ran new speaker wire to all the speakers..im just wondering if maybe theres something that someone knows something before i go through and run all new wires...thanks guys.

lol..yeah thats what it looks like i gotta do...its easy enough just annoying. oh well. ill do that tomoro

this is happening to me in my coupe. i just changed the head unit and now my rear speakers dont work

yeah on my buddys hatch we put his head unit in and couldnt figure it out so we just ran new wires

or maybe you gays are running it to the wrong wires

get a print out of the colors from nicco

fucking 240's!they have a amp system in the rear.that might be causing you a problem.i tried bypassing mine to install a mids and highs but eneded up frying my radio.still cant figure it out.

you probably ran from the amp to the radio which is wrong ...run the wires from speakers to amp then RCA from the radio to the amp.. the radio will have all the speaker wires disconnected just zip tie them together so they wont be loose and make sure none have exposed wire

i dont know what the function is called but on my multimeter thers a setting where if i touch both leads together the meter beeps, if u have one with this funtion u can see if thers a break in ur stock speaker wire

he is correct
also remote must go straight to head unit, ground goes anywhere that is a proper grounding place, and a power must go from amp straight to battery
the stock amps on our cars are complete shit and you dont get any kind of quality, just run all your speakers through an aftermarket amp if you can. i have a 4-channel running mine and one 12 giving me a little bump
