NOPI bites the dust

Nopi folded because of the economy? Give me a break!! Thats the most piss por excuse iv ever hered the economy is not sooooo bad to fold a drift, drag and car show seiries. That dosent happen over night they have been going down hill for a while the drift seiries was the last failed attempt at saving that worthless series.

Good ridance.

oh tim tim tim, still so much hatred in ur words

its ok, im not pro either lol everythings gonna be ok

^^ lol damn son, i didnt see it that way ........(runs into raffi's room and laughs at his face)

hahaha

florida series, lets do this

The only way i can consider anyone being "Pro" is if you have a company backed car built for you for the series you run......If its not, then you ain't pro....

Time to make some type for some F1 schooling! lol...make some millions!

No doubt that we are going through tough times... I have a list of about 20 companies that just raised prices/ or are giving a less of a discount to resellers and it continues to grow every week.... The rising cost of gas and rising cost of shipping is killing us.

Also take a look at the stock market... Companies that had shares worth $50+ dollars are down to $7.00 a share.. Banks are also starting to go under...

^ we should all start panicing and creating a huge chaos, lets bring back the "Great depression" back in this country!

ITs scary dude, to be honest with you! I wonder if things will get better next year or take a new shit because of two bad choices of presidency candidates!

kyle where the hell have u been mannn!!!

Bought a house and all my time as of late has been going into that... I'll be at the fairgrounds event this weekend so I hope to see all you guys there!

I think a Florida series would rock and actually work as it will be more grassroots style. We have the tracks we just need the origanization and the commitment to get enough drives to constantly register for the events. I would be all over it if something like that were to happen...

with the attendance down fom weather/cost of gas and the driver attendance down from similar costs and the fact that no company is sponsoring because they are all running out of retail numbers its VERY understandable that NOPI is crashing. Out of last years dedicated (atleast 4 events) drivers that did 2007 series, MAYBE 8 of them have returned? So many people cant afford solo this year and with no sponsors they dont go. Now NOPI feels it too.

NOPI wasnt the best, but I think they were better than people give them credit for. Either way, i lose some paychecks I was counting on... I even passed on a job to continue judging and now this....

Whats more disappointing though is that drivers and Judges had to hear about this from other sources. I still dont have an email telling me that the series I compete in has gone under...

Hey guys I would like to have a sit down with some of you (Esp. any Nopi drivers, Aero-K, Harri, etc.) Sat. to discuss an alternate series, directly inline w/what all of you are saying: [cliff notes] basically, small regional divisions emptying top drivers into a national finals

Hollar?

count me in!:bigthumbu

I am really not surprised to hear this. Last year just didnt look that good. Attendance seemed to be there, just everything else wasnt.

It is sad to see companies that put up shows like this just drop and walk, but the way everything is going I am not surprised.

Hell even NASCAR the attendance has dipped.

I just hope the City of St. Pete doesn't loose out with signing a 4+year extension on the Honda Grand Prix.:(

But a grassroot drift I would love to be involved with. You all know Ill travel to shoot.:bigthumbu
