Is there a huge difference between an OEM Sway Bar vs. an Aftermarket Sway Bar????

S13: (se without Abs/lsd package) Front bar 25mm, 17mm in the rear.

Godspeed
S13 Front bar 30.05mm, 28.29 in the rear

keep in mind that the oem has all new Energy Suspension bushings.

Is it even worth spending the money on an aftermarket sway bar?

i'd say so, yes. to you it seems like a small amount but its huge plus they could also use a harder metal and move the end link point closer in. each successive mm in diameter added stiffens to the bar more than the last mm. so as it may only be a 5% increase in the front diameter it is more than 5% added stiffness.

sway bars make a huge difference, i upgraded my rear to one that was only 5mm bigger and it drasticly changed the handling of the car.

Ive been drifting with stock, and it feels great.

actually, last time I drifted, the front wasnt even connected, and the car felt fantastic allday. Use your money elsewhere, you're fine.

^no one ever said that you couldnt drift without it or that his drifting would suffer from having one on.in fact there was no mention of drifting at all. whether or not its worth the money depends on what he wants out of his car. if he wants a better handling car with decreased body roll then yes its worth the money.

I would say for you to get some good coils and use the sway bars to fine tune. Example on my car, spring rates are 10k front 8 k rear and i had upgraded sway bars and found the car would not transfer weight at all, so i went back to stock.
