Oil gauge leak on dash

So as the title suggests, my autometer oil pressure gauge ruptured and leaked everywhere. It was mounted on the a pillar and seems to have taken a route into the dash. I don't think it's gotten into the fuse box, but the wiring above the pedals gives the occasional drip. I sprayed MAF cleaner in there (it's what I had on hand) and it seems to have cleared some of it up but outside removing my dash, any suggestions on where I should start? Thanks y'all. And yes, I know I should have gone with an electric oil gauge but again, it's what I had on hand.

pull off the knee panel, kick panel, and some of the carpet of the driver side and use a flashlight to see where all the oil is at.

To get all of it your going to have to remove the dash, its going to suck and I know you dont want to do it lmao, but to clean all of it thats what your going to have to do,..

Eh... Thanks y'all. I'll start peeling off the layers and we'll see how it goes. Once I get the dash off just degrease/spray off all the wires or does that leave flammable residue? Was I going in the right direction with the maf cleaner?

so a little bit of an update. i cleaned everything out as much as i could, and let the car sit for a while. the other day i jump started the car and after a few moments she started right up! i sat in the driver's seat with a fire extinguisher just in case. well as i pull the jumper cables off she stutters so i put them back on, get the multimeter out. with the cables on i read 12.5 chargining and when i pull them off it dropps down to 9. volts. so, the alternator is suddenly done.

or is it?

i feel like the oil spill caused something to short, blowing the alternator fuse. i'm going out there now to do a little more poking around and cleaning of some contacts. i really hope i don't need a new alternator, but i really am lazy to go through a bunch of new wiring gremlins.

anyway, if anyone knows what i might be talking about chime in. if not, well... i'll update anyway so theres some kind of documentation. thanks ya'll

So after my bout of laziness I went and cleaned the contacts and terminals and jumped it again. After removing the jumper cables I would read 12v at the terminals, but it would slowly drop until around 8.5 when the car would die. Anyway, I guess I'll just have to cop a new alternator/battery and call it a day. If anyone thinks this is a bad idea and could be something else Holla.

my batter is beat to shit and i read online that a new alternator should get a fresh start with a new battery. but last time i had my ka alternator rebuilt, i'm pretty sure i used the same battery (which is this one i'm using now). this was at least 5 years ago. guess i'm just due for a change
