Oil into the Intake manifold ?

Cordobes

Spectator
Ok .. here is my question.. i know in the SR ..it has a hose coming out from the left side of the head ( standing in front of the engine) that hose connect to the intake manifold.
now.. i installed a Freddy intake mani ..and i connected that hose in the back of the manifold " one of the vacums i guess" ,. On the bottom of the manifold it has 3 vac ports..when i took one of the screw out .. it had one drop of oil in it. took the other too,,and had the same.. it is normal to get oil in there ? i should run that line to an oil catch can ? here is a picture to see what im talking about. Thank Youu

its normal on any turbo engine with significant wear. (old ass sr's from jdm land are normally beat pretty good before we see them)

questions needed for Diagnosis:
boost pressure normally running?
Do you have a catchcan installed?
How far have you taken it and are you still running the Stock Turbo? (boost spikes included)if higher than 14-15 psi seals MAY be the problem
but check your intercooler for oil first before guessing its that then it being more major.

Like Bill said, blow-by like that is prob from beat old motor syndrome

that hose is a breather for the valve cove disconnect that hose and vent to atmosphere and that nipple connect it to vacum

you need to hook up the stock lines and pipe on the bottom of the stock manifold, or get an aftermarket catch can. Right now you have no catch can hooked up

Edit... Or do what he said^^^

I have GT28rs turbo.. ( that i think seals are not too good cuz it smokes sometimes..) got it from matts . im running 9 psi . it did spike one time only at 15psi. I dont have oil catch can..
-----------------
So..i can just put a breather filter on it and use that vac port for something else ?
but the best and proper way to go is an oil catch can..rite ?

it's called blow by. Or bad turbo seals. Matt is shady. Just sayin....

the oil is not comming from the coldpipe. i took it out and there is no oil , it's clean!check intercooler and it's clean too i think is comming from the breather .. im gonna do what aero-ks said and see what's up

The aero-k guys are into V8's n shit now.

---------and im thinking on getting a REAL oil pressure gauge..cuz i had a glowshift one..and wasnt reading good. so i got the one from leo . and same shit.sometimes when the car is cold..reads about 35psi at 1.5k .. then drops to 20psi..and when i stop to any ligth or something..idle it's at around 900 .. and oil press drops to 2psi. lol. i guess this shitty oil pressure have to go to trash .btw it's connected rigth next to the oil filter.

I didn't realize having a V8 made you forget knowledge about SRs

to OP: by chance are you running stainless lines? and if so, are you running an oil-restricter?

that what i was reading.. im using SS lines.Im not sure if i ave oil restrictor..i will check now. i think i will need to get an oil restrictor in order to stop some smoking from the turbo ?Thanks for the info

install the catch can on ur motor and imediately put the oil restrictor on ur turbo cause u will blow out turbo seals...
and if no oil in cold pipe may mean goin bad valve seals...
u coulda called me favian...or stop by a talk bout shit....
and the pcv is connected right
