Oil Squirters

So I have a NA SR20DE that I'm thinking about boosting. I only reason I have this motor is cause the car came with it, I would love to pick up a DET all day. But you got to work with what you got. SO, from what I've read, the only problem with boosting a NA version is the lack of oil squirters in the block. If I run Forged pistons, how much of an issue do you guys think it would be? I'm looking to sqeeze like 275-300hp out of the motor by the end of the build.

Or Would it be better to just find a blown, spun bearing, rod knock block & head and rebuild that. Cost wise, I'm gonna rebuild the block and head regaurdless of which motor I use.

LMK any input/experiences will help

If you're rebuilding you can have block drilled and tapped for oil squirters. 1-2-3 problem solved.

look ive been researching this and just boost the na u can get similar numbers as a ka-t
ka's r 10:1 as the sr na...just put a turbo kit on it...
if ur gunna pull the motor the u can tap out the factory lines..if u leave it in run an oil only turbo..use an oil sandwich for oil in and tap a ebay greddy oilpan for return...sr20det 370 injectors and a nistune ec and u will have a nice running motor...
ive dedicated the last week to this research and the best is silvia.com au..
the austrailians have both version available..
or buy a fresh det longblock using ur ecu etc...and a nistune ecu..
tapping the block is alot of werk and i kno i have no patience for it...i just want boost....:driving:
