i have a 95 s14 and its doing some weird stuff..It appears some of the accessories that come on ignition wont work...sometimes.like the radio, windsheild wiper switch, mirrors, ect. It wouldnt be a fuse because then it would only be one thing n wouldnt work at all.so i dont know if its shorting out or grounding or something..is this a comon problem?

check if if the wiring from near the ignition is not strip or falling apart.. also is a ka24de right?

by the ignition cylinder? yes its a KA
yes.. it might be strip.. mine was and was making fake contact , you can check by just removing the cover of the ignition cylinder and visually inspect the plugs. also you have more details like exactly when? for example if you shut off the car, do you still have power sometimes?

PS: if you need some harness or part of it i have some, .. i had to strip my car completely from all the wiring just to find out it was a ground cable next to the power cable that cause all my problems lol

woooooooww.i dont wana have to go through all that just to figure it out! When i shut the car off, the antena makes a sound for what seems like a whole minute.i dont know if thats related.but the problem is noticable on ignition.sometimes you turn the key, n nothing turns on.no radio,no wipers ect..then other times it does.its very random.

nah the antenna is probably a power antenna , the sound is the antenna coming down when you shut the power off. mmm but im trying to figuered out.. so you say when you turn the car on you wipers turn on by itself??(what position you have the wiper stick ?) also it could be a bad battery terminal, have you check them?

I had the same problem, turned out to be a connector on the battery terminal. What you need to do is check for conductivity and find where the bad connection is.

yeah i was thinking it might be simply just that.. :p

well the wipers dont turn on by themselves.there just isnt any power going to em.i noticed how when i turn the key to just power, everything seems to be fine.but when the keys turned all the way, it wont work.im gona check the terminals tomorw.

ohh i see what you mean when you put the key into ACC you have power, but when is on start power cuts.. well check the terminals and let me know.. take pics!

i looked at the terminals. theyre not loose or dirty.i actually cleaned em up.then i checked the connectors on the red clip thats on the positve terminal.at 1st i noticed one was loose but when i plugged it back,it didnt make a diference.i checked if they both had power n they did.i made sure the neg was fully grounded. nothing..its gotta be inside the cabin.
