opinions on subframe bushing collars

i was telling someone at i wanted to replace the rear subframe bushings and they said i should just go with the subframe bushing collars because they do the same thing and are easier to install

anyone using these and what do you guys think of them?

subframe collars are a bandaid for worn out bushings, they take up the slack in them and in turn make the rear subframe more solid; however they are not a permanent fix, your bushings will still be prone to wear and eventually you will have to replace the bushing.

I would advise you to just do solid bushings from the get go, because sooner or later you'll have to do it anyway.

If you decide to go with the collars, i don't have any experience with the megan collars, but i know for sure you can't go wrong with SPL.

More complicated to install but worth the trouble if you daily drive. According to other people here solid bushings can get you pretty bad Hemorrhoids : http://www.sfldrifters.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22650

That is of course unless you don't mind that.
