Don't be a pussy. I'm # 030 and will be running my e30 on slicks that day :bigthumbu

SIGN UP NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! deadline is dec 28 i'd like to see some friendly faces as porsche guys don't get along with old bmw drivers that keep passing them... nah i joke everyone there is like people at drift events. Oh, this is not a race, just a DE = tons of track time. leave your ego home yada yada yada

this PCA club usually does 3-40min sessions or 4-30min sessions. Sometimes they do 5-25min sessions which seems like this event since there are not many reg'd people for Sunday which is when we can run. Fri and Sat are instructor school days. the shorter a session the more your brakes will last.

$250

That sounds awesome but i dont have the cash for that. Iv never done a autocross or real track time i think this would be alot of fun what date do they run?

Sunday Jan 11th. THE PRICE INCLUDES AN INSTRUCTOR WITH YOU AT ALL TIME, CLASS TIME ETC, RIDE ALONG WITH INSTRUCTORS etc... this will also help you enormously in drifting too btw... did for me although i still suck

I Bet it would be extremely helpful but i cant run that and countyline and gainsville. if i come across the money whens the latest i could pay by the 28th? I have a full set of huge slicks for the car too, iv been wanting to learn with them doing some high speed grip.

can that be done with azenis rt615? 225 front and 275 rears? or maybe i can go 235 front
or what better tires for auto cross/time attack ? and can u please give the link for registration. i took look at the moroso schedule and got confused :)

^ You could run them no problem with the 225 or 235 in the front it might push a little put a little but it will be fun still. Your making big hp right? This should be right up your alley. I run a 245 up front and i dont have widebody why do you run such a small front tire your turnin and braking suffer greatly.

cause the offset of wheels at front . the black te's are 17x9+0 so i can probably run 235 yes . this gramlights im running now are -3 running 225/45/17 .. i allready cracked the left fender.. tire rub when i corner hard . but if do that event i would run the TE's .

remember you'll never put your car into full lock so running wider tires is not a prob. you will be cornering very hard though i suggest you raise your car a bit then...won't make a difference really.

ok cool. what about belts requirements? thanks bro . I got some advan neova ad07 for the front 235/40/17(180 tread) and i have some azenis rt615 275/30/19(200 tread)

i just read this :(. dont have a suit .....In all groups drivers must wear modern safety equipment. Approved 2-layer driver suit, helmet to Snell 1995 (or later) specification.
this is the main website right http://www.gorace.blogspot.com/

you don't need a suit. for rules go to a PCA site.

If you have aftermarket "racing" seats, your passenger/instructor must have the same.
same applies to belts. stock belts and seats are also fine. as long as they work. tech inspection is pretty through.

your tires are also fine, i ran 225/35f45r-17 street tires for the longest time on these types of events. then my brand new front tires got messed up (after 6 events!) and so i found some RA1's mounted on original ///M rims and i couldn't pass up the deal ($200 all 4 on rims!)

all i can say is that you shouln't pass up the event its gonna be sick specially on the newly paved track!! anyone else wanna come?

damn on my birthday, this would be nice to attend but I don't got the bread or car to do it.

hopefully I can make it out and snap

I was just out there on the 14th. The track is really sweet!! Its very similar to the old layout but the back section has more turns and is quite technical. It will be a blast and I hope to make it.

^^[sigh] ygpm

the two people i've spoken with have told me the same thing. i never drove the old layout though, just at drift events. If you do make it pm me. I'm so exited for this you have no idea :bigthumbu

let me just say how FFFFFFFFF awesome the event was... the track is pretty sweet, although i liked the old setup better.

now, non road racing related....i just don't see where the drft event will be... maybe if you drive the course backwards (like the first moroso event) turns 8->7, manji a short straight (what used to be the really long straight) into 6 which is a reducing rad and banked (6 used to be the old dual apex turn drift events used to call turn 1)

8->6, manji 6 that's it. there's really no other place....as a roadcourse its a lot of fun man i'm going to do it again soon!

i'll upload my video...or go on youtube and look at someone's video of the new track...you can't really say that by looking at the online map. In fact, i'm a little hessitant about going as far as past turn 6....i do see drifting in the other direction as well since the turn before the straight away is much much smaller but you're gonna need some major power and speed there. idk, i'd like to see what harry has to say about this..

I posted a video of it myself here.... it looked like there were plenty of turns that we'd be able to slide if we were allowed to hot lap the track.

that is a different story. I was talking about holding events similar to the previous ones; getting a couple turns that you can link. Sort off, because 5 is very far from 6, almost a straightaway. Then 7 is really far from 6 through a straighaway. I doubt they'd let us hot lap PBI, i wish though. What was the response to your vid, i can't find it.
