HELP US SAVE BIG BOY AKA BEAR

hey guys, I wanted to ask you if you could please help us raise some money to be able to kennel Bear for 2 weeks until we can take him to a no kill shelter while we and they help find him a good home!

Im not asking for much guys, if most of you donate a dollar it will really help us out!

Here is his story...

"Big Boy" is an extremely sweet and amazing Chow, who use to be a VERY favorite patient at my job. Has a strong personality & good temper. Has a gorgeous grizzle look and looks like a little bear! Big Boy was abandoned at Miami Dade Animal Services (MDAS) on 1-27-11. My coworker and I could not just sit back with the high possibility of him being killed.

We decided to visit him at MDAS and get photos and videos of him to get him noticed by rescues and possible adopters. Our plans drastically changed and we ended up having to put a hold on him to pull him from there ASAP. HE WAS ABOUT TO BE KILLED THE SAME DAY WE WENT TO MDAS TO GET PHOTOS/VIDEOS OF HIM! A dog in a cage next to Big Boy began violently agitating him right in front of us. Big Boy reacted defensively towards the other dog and began hysterically barking and screaming at the other dog. A MDAS employee came and bluntly said, "Ok, those 2 will be put down tonight".

Big Boy's name at that point was changed to Bear because he has new lease on life without his previous owners who abandoned him. I was able to temporarily keep him at my friend's rescue, but that time has run out. Today Bear was taken to be boarded at Comfort Kennels until there is an available space at the Humane Society of Greater Miami, which is the only 100% no kill shelter in south florida.

A tremendous amount of effort has been put into saving Bear from death and a plastic body bag. So many wonderful rescue angels have helped me give Bear a chance at a new and improved life. Now I need help financially to keep Bear in a safe place for 2 weeks. There is nowhere else he can stay. He does not like other dogs so it is very difficult to keep him in places where dogs are left free to roam a yard. I wish I could bring him home with me, but I have 4 dogs and 3 cats.

Thanks guys! My Gf is in charge of the whole thing, Im just the promoter lol.
We have a shelter that is a no kill shelter that we will take him too but they want us to board him in isolation for 2 weeks while they get us a space and to make sure he doesnt have any viruses.

I did a project with the Felix Varela Highschool in my first year of college...they have a bunch of animals. Dogs, goats, sheep, just to name a few.

If all else fails call them, or pass by, and tell them about your dog. When I was there they had some rescued dogs that people didn't want to adopt. If anything tell them an old friend who studied there told you about them or something, and they might help you out. Even if they say they can't take him because they have too many they might keep him while you sort the no-kill shelter thing out :bigthumbu
