these are question that i would like answered please. i thirst for information :D

how much does a ka weight?
can i put wider tires on stock s13 se wheels?
whats the widest. i was told it was 205 ?
how long would it take to swap in a ka?
is there a good junk yard with alot of 240s near miami?
on ebay there are springs for like 65$. i doubt they are any good but does anyone have any feedback on them?

yes
widest-(stock 240 rim is 15inch is 225)no rubbing issuses
experienced with all the goods in engie bay and motor out with the old in with the new around 3hrs.Perfect

dont know but u pull it is the shiznit
no ebay springs coilovers ftw but if broke go with kyb agx struts and some stiff springs
 
3hours? maybe with air tools and a s14 with no rusted bolts.

In reality, to swap in a KA yourself on the ground with a engine hoist and jacks it will take you anywhere from 5-10hours. That includes wiring modifications if needed, drain the tranny, change the clutch and flywheel if needed, draining the radiator, swapping over starters and alternators and whatever else you need to swap over, bolting everything back up, filling all new fluids, priming everything, etc.

it takes 3hours just to install a new differential.. and by new, i mean new in box, put into pumpkin, than install.

3hrs if you got a lift, air tools, and 5 people that know what they are doing.
Dan has a good point you will most likely come across a bolt that will fuk your day up do to rust. and draining fluids, I say 3hrs just to get the old mototr out and 3 more to put the new bak in... but thats with no "im going to sit for a minute and rest" thats nonstop work.
 
dam, you people are slow, i can take out of my rust bucket s14 my ka out and put a diffrent one in in 3hrs, and i know people that can do it faster!! i seen people pull out ka's in s13 chassis and install sr's in them wire them up and have running in 3 hrs. and thats with hand tools
 
okay well I will pay YOU 600$ if you can pull out my KA and drop a new one in get it running with all fluids and everything working just the way it was before the old motor was out in 3hrs or less. If it takes you more than 3hours, you dont get paid. Up for it? or too busy to spare 3hrs of your life?

I've been doing swaps for the past 3 years, and it took 5hrs to take out a n/a sr engine, reinstall everything and drop back in. And that was with 2 people that know what were doing non-stop work at a steady pace on the floor in a garage.
 
only because i know it wouldnt be done by one person in that amount of time

it takes 1hr just to drain all fluids, take hood off, and remove fan shroud without breaking it

I'll pay 600$ to any ONE person that says they can swap my motor out and a new one in running in 3hrs or less with no airtools and lift and actually does it, if you take over 3hrs, than you dont get paid anything, i might buy you lunch for doing the work for me but no 600$ restaurant for you!.

dam, dan thats a great challange, i try it, but if i dot finish in exactly 3 hrs i dont get paid and i dont finish the job!! how about that? seems fair?
 
yes!!!!!!! the challenage is on!!!lol!!!!! have you seen on speed channel the engine rebuild race? there are two teams and they race to build V8s from a bare block to a running motor? well I say we do the same!!!lol!

LOL, looks like u pussyed out of the challenge.
lets be honest here, u know u tryed to looked kool.
I'm not hating on u but here is your chance to back wat u said and you joke about it.

if you take this challenge I will throw in extra $100.00 but some rules will go in efect.

1. to collect all money you must finish, take the old motor out, install the new one and have it ready to drive, run and idle with all fluids and everything conected in 3hrs (in spanish 3 HORAS) not one minute later(everything must work as inteded by NISSAN) no gehtto rigging. if not completed in 3hrs you will only get lunch.

2. you are responsable for any parts broke do to your carelesnes. if you finish in the 3hrs broken parts will come out of you earnings.

3. the job must be done on the ground, jak, jak stands and engine lift will be provided.

4. you must do this by yourself, you will only get help wen the motor is on the engine lift and ready to come out and or drop in only to ensure that it doen not get damaged.

5. this will be documented.

6. count down will start wen as soon as you touch the car.
