Harri - have you checked into the go kart course *parking lot space, but still very good* in Homestead? I know ER throws monthly autoX events there.

Here is a picture of the road course, Id imagine we would have the top right hand corner to drift on, tertech will tell us where we will be able to drift if this goes down.

road course information can be found at www.morosomotorsportspark.com

Those turns look like high 3rd or clutch kicking 4th gear. That's just me. I am inexperienced.

no 4th gear stuff there.

Depending on entry speed, road course track width, and power it will be a third gear corner(s) for experianced drivers. Possibly enter in 3rd and downshift to second middrift. (dont get scared if you dont know how, you will learn)

definetly down for moroso. Local, local, and its local. Im down for a learning drift day. Even tho im 4th gear approved i could always use some practice and tips from other people.

finally something local... just gotta work on that price... id rather spend that $$$ on tires and hit up my VIP spot for hours :D

Have you ever been on a road course or cart track with little to dangers and can drive ALOT? Ive been out sliding for 5 and 6 hours of constant driving, NONE of that can compare to being on a track. Having to check your surroundings, dodge cars, be on the lookout for law enforcement while street drifting clouds what you should be thinking about, driving. Being on a track provides the enviroment of learing how to control your car.

I am not saying this because I am anti-street drifting. I street drift all the time and I also have had a secluded gokart track that was shared with 5 other drivers. It would have taken me a year to learn the things on the street that I learnd on that gocart track in 3 weekends. The time that you get on a track is alot more useful then the so called hours that you get on the street.

I am used to driving 4 hours and then having additional costs of hotel reservations. Because this event is local I will gladly pay a higher entry fee.

This is not a arguement towards you big mike, but im telling everyone from experiance that real track time is more valuable then what you get street drifting. (there are some exceptions but leave them out of it)

Yeah but you also have to facter. Street=cops.... Event=no cops..... You get caught in the streets, bye bye car. At the event you have nothing to worry about. Think of your car as an investment not a liability, meaning, you wouldn't take your investment and piss it away would you? $250-$300 is a small price to pay to keep your car and not get points on you license.

^^^^^Whoops Rick beat me to it^^^^^^

While ter-tech reads this thread they are trying to figure out how many people are really going to pay the entry fee. So, just include in your post whether you will be able to pay for your tires, gas and entry fee to particpate in this event (realistically).

I can and will participate in this event.

my new car will be there, my new tires will be there, my gas will be there, Genki Style will be there.
