drez is talking about dextron mercon 3. which is a industry standard for automatic transmission fluid. It is commonly used in power steering systems.

The DOT3 you are probably confusing is the brake fluid........

Like i said there is noo leaks in the system..or air..am guessing the rack is fucked up and since i have a rhd car it's not easy to find.. does anybody know where i can get it checked? lmk...

Well i gotta replace all the belts there all worn out....But i don't think it's that..

have you ever run the system dry for an extended period of time? I mean i had a bad leak once and i was tired of putting atf in it, so i drove around for a week empty enough not to make noise. Tossed some atf back in and still was fine but maybe i have a super duper ps pump.

Are any of the hard lines crushed from doing engine work? How about the line going from the reservoir to the pump?

disconnect the return(not the high pressure line) line place it on a container or bottle, run the car (this shouldnt be done like this but you dont work at a dealer and you dont have a vacume) drain ass much as you can out. reconnect and fill it up. see how it reacts, when do you get the stiff feeling when you go full lock? you might need to rebuild the rack, also make sure all your belts are good, and that your pump is working, make sure none of the lines are kink. laterzzzz i dont know shit about cars... :)

All the lines are fine...When i turn the wheel there noo annoying sound..The stiffness is always there..i think the rack is fucked up..

take the rack out and take it to a rack and pinion place they normally charge betwee 100-150 to rebuilt, if you want it aligned and everything you are looking at 200-240
