PPL i need advice on drifting in fast and sharp turn

why isn't there a section for these discussions.

because it is so hard to give instruction over the internet, talk about basic ideas, not details. Maybe if there was quaility in car mounted footage of the driver and the road we would be able to give feedback.

but, what I was doing when I was first learning 50mph drift was a trail brake to get the feel and adapting my counter steer. It would get me sideways at apex which was safe. Try lightly applying ebrake along with footbrake so you have a little more rear bias to the brakes which will get the back end loose, slow and predictable. Get the feel of how the car acts at that speed. It is safest to loose tracsion at apex, so start there and then start earilier each time you feel more comfortable.

btw, I always start off my ebrake slides with footbrake application to shift the weight of the car foward. you can get really aggressive with this technique as far as how quick you flick the car out before the turn, rather then just turning and waiting for the locked rear wheels to slide out.

no grammer.

? Is that a serious question ? Because if it is you cant clutch kick a auto

you build up some decent speed, put it into Nuetral and rev to the rev limiter and quick dump it back to Drive :bigthumbu

well you need alot more practice. It worked well when it was wet mid drift in certain situations.

try shifting the weight of the car away from the turn and turn hard toward it then catch the countersteer and if u feel that ur gonna understeer just pull the ebrake

^ Well it works for 240sickness and he can drift auto better than many of us with manuals so I wouldnt talk shit.

what i recomend is start slow pick your line clutch kick, let the front tires regain grip and give gas.

holy shit i think i found one of Roberts problems. REGAIN GRIP???????? if you are understeering after a clutchkick there is a serious issue on your driving.

your prolly just turning in too mutch
jerk in....car kicks out by itself it should if your going fast enough......counter...brake a little....and gas it thru...(dont floor it) just play with it
