Pressing the clutch and idle?

Well when i turn on my 240 it idles at about 1,100 rpms and i'll let it warm up and it holds pretty good. So when i start driving it i'll get down to a stop sign and when i start slowing down and i press the clutch in my idle will jump from the rpm that i am at to like 200-300 rpms to where its JUST about to stall and die. sometimes it'll stay on and sometimes it went. I've learned just to downshift every gear and slow down gradually, but i'd like to fix this. It'd be nice to be driving and when im stopping that when i push my clutch in, that it'll drop to the right rpms.

Vacuum leak, check you're lines on the back of the head, and check you're master cylinder vacuum hose for cracks. I did that and fixed my problems...:bigthumbu

yeah same here but i have a SR in my car so for me it could be a boost leak i dono

well im KA so can't be boost leak, so im not sure what to think about it. i mean i drive other 5spd cars and when i put the clutch in, it goes right to their initial idle speed. im trying to figure out what it could be in our cars, maybe the tps/isc/icav or something is bad or setup wrong?

only things i could think of (not even sure if our cars have ISC lol)

I wouldnt doubt it being a vac leak, we installed taht intake ghetto as fuh...

true, but i took it out since i had to replace my TB and i made sure all the vacuum lines from the intake and up are good. there could be one behind the head.

i'll have to double check.

damn it nick when u comin down ? lol

ahhhhh anyone? i really wanna fix this. gets more annoying everytime lol. atleast with my b&M shifter its less annoying now.

How dose the transmission shift? Do you have to depress the clutch pedal all the way down to the floor to shift gears or to put it into first? Dose it go into reverse easily? Dose it do this in neutral or only when you have it in gear with the clutch down?

You shoudnt be idling at 1100, thats to high. After warm up it should be around 850. Adjust the idle air screw on the intake mani. when the car is fully warmed up to lower the idle speed. As for the dropping in idle in neutral, sounds like a vacuum leak or IACV. Try tapping on the IACV with a screwdriver while the engine is running, if the idle speed responds to the tapping then its stuck or dirty.

There's some hardlines behind the head. Theres one that was left open from the back of the intake that caught me. Once I plugged it with a bolt...Back to normal...
