^ I now have a welded diff in my track car W00t no more one wheel burnouts!

watch that angle now, too far and it will never come back. ;)

practise people, and its a real handicap not running good tires.

yea if you are a front grip relying whore n00b

rs2's spoiled u

you do know that my car understeered if i just turned into the corner with out anything else, if i just turned into the corner at speed it would under before it overd. yea i was going too fast on the kart track so what, i was trying to get a feel for how long i could stay on the gas.

ebrakeeeeeeeeeeeee

wah wah project mu its a never ending battle deal with it

i didnt have the mu pads on the rear when i was at the track before it was tore up.

dood, so how is it that i was able to initiate on the off ramp that one night when it was raining (225 frt and 245 rear rs-2s) i was able to initiate but after it would start to slide i would turn in or try more angle and the front would loose grip? i didnt have a problem with uber oversteer becuase of the front tires the whole time, it was loosing front grip middrift so essentially there was a lack of front grip in relation to f n r.

edit for being on topic* - ummm.... go faster, it always helped me get them left handers.

because it was raining duh. its not like you lose grip and have no control of the car at all, you were just sliding to the outside of the turn and with small adjustments in the steering you are able to keep it sliding out or have it stop. you will understand one of these days, rainy seasons coming up w00t and now i have a window

you stupid whore, you dont remember i tried it once with the usual steering and gas, it didnt work, then remember i did it again with more angle and anticipating more turn in...... ya that didnt work either. the tires were too bald up front compared to the rear.

here comes the flame for putting 205s back on the rear.

GO faster turning right. TOO just watch that outside curb.

well if you didnt run 245s in the back maybe you could have some damn oversteer you n00b! you arent a mustang wtf nigguh

mustangs have ponies, i have a single snail. ::sigh:: never be like a mustang as much as i try to sound like one. ;)

0o0o hey about this person having issues turning left, how about they come out to the event at charlotte this saturday and get schooled by Mr. Dan the man. Might learn something

^ i'm a front grip whore, killed a set of front tires after only three events and 7k miles

For future refrence Dunlop FM901s have really weak sidewalls that like to roll even if properly inflated.. which is really sucky for a 45 series tire..

I'm trying this tire for my next set... most of the reviews say they have stong sidewalls, good grip, long tread life and they are really inexpensive. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes&place=23

move this to the tires subthread in the tech section. stiff sidewalls, for who the minivan? I dont think thats going to be a wise decision for optimal performance, but i do belive that learning how to drift with nothing but passenger bull**** tires on the front is the way to go. I was learning the preliminary stages of drifting with pasenger tires for over 1.5 years.

ya and so is the kuhmo spt, just becuase its in a class dosent mean that its god or is going to have the same cornering charictoristics that you would like. dosent summer mean that it excaveates water better or something, w\e i dont care, do it and learn to drive on those tires with some 195s on the back. Dont go around the oval at charlotte, connnect the whole figure 8 infeild with out going off track or catching grip. Then you can think about unique alternative ways to enter the infeild or gain some more speed. And i think you welded your diff to earily IMO.

ya ya so ppl dont be front tire grip whores.

omg howwwwwwwww did you manage this?!?! i had fm901s 205/50-55/15 i dont remember which profile up front for about 6months before they were 10% tread and they still gripped decent. and i took them to 3 events, played around on the street almost every day, and every night it rained i was out for hours with them, **** I even used them for rallying and then put them on the back of dhsil80s car for a few months and the only issue i ever had was i got a bubble from underinflation for letting it sit after i wrecked my car. so how in the world did you manage to lose fm901s so quicklyyyyyy wtffffff i am enraged at this

Maybe I had a bad set... The spectators at the event said they were rolling.. I checked the PSI and it was at 40 on both front tires.. ??? I'm as supprised as you are, they are not COMPLETELY dead I can still get a few k of daily driving out of them but I would not trust them for drifting since the sides are worn

front of the s chasis has camber adjustment. Run more negitive if you have roll problems at 40 psi. Then reduce your tire presssure to regain grip after camber is added. Try to do this systematically if your going to do this at home so you have even camber adjustment. I would suggest try -1 first from factory, then dial as nessacary if you feel the need to after that in -.5 increments.

mine were rounded off and i ran them at 28psi all day up front without any problems but that's just my setup with 15'' wheels, s-tech springs, tein tie rods, and cusco tc rods

get smaller wheels, get some fm901s and put them on steelies or something up front 205-50-15 i bet they will be better for your setup and run something with like 500 treadwear in the rear preferrably a 205 tire.. your car will love them with the welded diffz0rs
