i wrecked my 88 300xz thursday and i was wondering if a 240 with a vg30 would be a good call, its a free motor and trans all i need is the back axle or whatever.

all i need is a cheap shell and project car could be started for me

They're kinda heavy and wide and tall Motors. I personally would sell your setup and put it towards an SR. On a side note, heres a 240sx with a VG30DE..

Honestly, if you're gonna do that, I would do it super sick and mount the engine further back push the firewall back, tub the front wheel wells, and/or maybe do a tubular front end.
