i know this might sound like a stupid question but are s14 front lower control arms the same as s13 ones?

no they are not. The s14 front lower Control arm is 5mm longer than the s13 but u can run an s14 control arm in an s13 it gives you a wider track and instant camber.

+1. most of the front arms i have found through research have been a bit longer on the s14 due to the fact that its front end is slightly wider than the s13. for example the s14 tension rods are about 1/4" to long to install on the s13
