Question!?!?!

hey guys im new to the site, but i have a quick question?


i wanna put in a switch on my ignition kinda like a kill switch but was wondering if i could just cut one of(the right) wire on the ignition switch( this)

and put a switch in between the cut to recomplete the circuit, u know like a light switch sorta kinda?


im new to electrical on cars as u can tell....any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

thats works just make sure u have the right gauge wire

alright thnx! what guage would u recommend? and would u happen to know whitch wire i would put it on?

if not ill just trial nd error it with my spare ign. switch.....

1 is starter 3 are power i belive and so any of the 3 sould be fine and i think 10 0r 12 should be good

and i was plannin on putting it on the dash, with a sign saying :: For dumb ppl flip switch to start, but yes u still need to turn the key:: that was they dnt think ohh if i flip it, the car will start and if they trun the key nd it doesnt start they will have the next step right infront of them=]

on another note does anyone know what each wire is by color? like blu is power blk is ground kinda thing?

colors r blue;blk w/ white; blk w/ yellow;blk w/ green;and white w/ red

way easier way is to disconect the switch on bottom of clutch pedel and wire to switch you also can start your car without clutch in which is better for the release bearing just make sure its not in gear i did it and hid the switch doesnt really work as a kill switch it wil run with swith off just wont start unless switch is on

cant you also put a cut off switch for the fuel pump?

You can put a cut off switch for everything, if you feel like flipping 20 Switches to start go for it. Or even put switches inline with other switches so even if they find one, it still wont start. Could put hundreds in car then. Have fun.

u can put it anywhere u want that will prevent the engine from being started just dont be telling ppl wher u put it lmao
