rb25det radiators

need the best radiator for my rb25det in a s13, does anyone have any suggestions? and also would a clutch from 300zx na work with my rb25det engine?
 
yeh, nico has a good source for rb info. Im pretty sure, (but get another source) that you can use the z32tt clutch in a rb25.

eh, radiator, i have no idea where the coolant ports are.


*edit*- ya you can use a na z32 clutch and pressure plate with the z32 tt TO bearing. ;)

*edit 2 * - and i think i read the fluidyne radiator for the ka will work for the rb. look around in the nico RB stickys for this information.

I'm honestly not sure about the specs on the Z32 clutch, but if you've swapped an RB25, don't you think it'd be better to buy a real nice aftermarket clutch? If you can find an ORC dealer, I'm sure they make a clutch for the RB25. If not, I'd look into anyone else who makes clutch kits. Why not just go overboard with your clutch and then never have to worry about it again?

eh, i think act makes a clutch kit for 449 ft lbs tq for the maxima ( which is very very very underrated, all act clutchs are underated). Cheaper? i dont know how much a ORC clutch is or any single or double discs. Maxima and z32 na clutch is the same part numbers. I hear 550ish hp is where the rb internals arent up to snuff and the reliabilty goes downhill fast after that. Stock engine maybe just get the act or comparable which will hold the strength of the engine internals and if you wish to go all out with a built engine you had better get a serious clutch kit.

i drive a ka though.
 
Any radiator meant for a KA will work for RBs. Koyo, Fluidyne(SP?), GReddy and so on work.

When Z4k worked at Drag they used OEM S14 raditors and never have a heatting problem when paired with Flex A Lite Dual SLim E Fans. But ofcourse it depends who does the motor mounts cuase the motor gets very close the the radiator.
 
yes any ka radiator will work you would be better going of with a koyo or somthing in that area.. in our case were puting a koyo in our rb powerd s13


do you have the motor in ?

do you have custom mounts?
 
thanks for the help, im just getting it ready so i can drive it now, then on i will upgrade the clutch.

the motor is already in , have to replace clutch, my car was an auto but burned up 3rd gear and needed to go manual. hope to get it ready in the next couple months for an OSW event
